Office of Student Care and Conduct

MTSU Care Team

The Dean of Students Office (DOSO) at Middle Tennessee State University is committed to supporting a positive, healthy, and safe student experience. We have developed a Campus Action Response and Engagement (CARE) Team in an effort to meet the needs of students who may be in distress.  Our CARE Team is housed in the Office of Student Care and Conduct (OSCC). The team will coordinate resources and implement a centralized response to assist students and keep our community healthy and safe.

We provide proactive assistance and support to students by assessing, evaluating, and responding to reports about students of concern who may need support to manage their academic and social experience at the University. We streamline support, provide a bridge to resources, and conduct outreach to students in need. The team relies on campus and community partners to submit CARE reports about students who may need help. If you need assistance in determining if a student might need help, please review “Effective Management of Student Behavior” on the right navigation bar.

Our office is located in the DOSO suite in the KUC 208. You can reach us via email at OSCC@mtsu.edu and by telephone at 615-898-2750.

Caring for students is a shared responsibility in our community, and we hope that the CARE team will help us assist students in need of help.
